Wisdom from Rachel Carson

I remember reading Silent Spring by Rachel Carson when I was in high school (seems like ages ago!). It seems we still have not learned from her wisdom.

The more clearly we can focus our attention on the wonders and realities of the universe about us, the less taste we shall have for destruction.

Wow yes!!! Such a profound insight – I also thought of ‘distraction’ as a word that could be inserted as a replacement for the word destruction!! What a beautiful thistle too!! Nice photo!
