Proclaim God’s Marvelous Deeds

Today’s Responsorial Psalm is from Psalm 96.

Proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations.

Sing to the Lord a new song;
   sing to the Lord, all you lands.
Sing to the Lord;
   bless God’s name.

Proclaim God’s marvelous deeds to all the nations.

More on Prayer

Appreciating the sunset over the Blue Ridge Mountains

What is real prayer?
Praise to God.
And the meaning of prayer?
Appreciating; thus opening the heart
more and more to the Divine beauty
on sees in manifestation.

Thanksgiving and Praise

Monday’s Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 100:1-5.

The Lord made us; we belong to God.

Sing joyfully to God, all you lands;
serve God with gladness:
come before God with joyful singing.

The Lord made us; we belong to God.

Know that the Lord is God;
God made us;
we are God’s people – God’s lovingly tended flock.

The Lord made us; we belong to God.

Enter God’s gates with thanksgiving,
and God’s courts with praise;
Give thanks to God; bless God’s name.

The Lord made us; we belong to God.

For God is good:
The Lord, whose kindness endures forever,
with faithfulness to all generations.

The Lord made us; we belong to God.

Do All for the Glory of God

Paul encourages us today in the First Letter to the Corinthians.

Brothers and sisters,
Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do everything for the glory of God.

Even the Rocks Sing Praise to God

In today’s Responsorial Psalm – from Psalm 95 -we hear proclaimed:

Come, let us sing joyfully to the Lord;
Let us acclaim the rock of our salvation.
Let us come into God’s presence with thanksgiving;
Let us joyfully sing psalms to the Lord.

Even the Rocks Sing Praise to God

Forever We Will Sing the Goodness of God

Today our responsorial psalm is Psalm 89, and we read:

Blessed are the people who know the joyful shout;
in the light of your countenance, O Lord, they walk.
At your name they rejoice all the day
and through your justice they are exalted.

Forever I will sing the goodness of the Lord.

All creation sings the Goodness of God.

Let Us Awaken the Dawn

It’s back again to an early morning thought . . . let us awaken the dawn.  One of our psalms in morning prayer is Psalm 57, and our antiphon says it all.

Awake, lyre and harp: I will awaken the dawn.

This was a dawn well worth awakening
