The Lord Is My Light

Today’s Advent reading is from the Psalms.

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear?
– Psalm 27:1

I love this Psalm! “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple..”

I am looking at this in the aftermath of our lengthy expression of feelings. I am enriched by the many ways that God presents Himself in nature. Many times when I was at low points in my life a sun rise or sunset or a shimming rainbow would appear and I would feel energized. I would feel hope again. Right at this moment I need a sign of hope and here it is on my computer screen.
