What is Prayer?

Prayer is not doing, but being. It is not words but the beyond-words experience of coming into the presence of something much greater than oneself. It is an invitation to recognize holiness, and to utter simple words–“Holy, Holy, Holy”–in response. Attentiveness is all; I sometimes think of prayer as a certain quality of attention that comes upon me when I’m busy doing something else.

  1. I do love your pictures and postings; I re-post them to my facebook page. However, there have been several in the last week that, when I tried to “share”, all I have gotten is the http address and no picture at all. Has there been a change or am I not doing something? Thanks for your fidelity to this ministry.

    • Thank you, Margaret Ann. I don’t know the answer. The same thing is happening for me today, though my assistant was able to post something. Maybe it’s a FB thing! If I figure out what it is, I’ll let you know. I’m glad you enjoy the site. It is work to keep at it, but it’s worth it! Peace, Pat
