Dominican Preaching through Word and Image
Do you reverence creation? Or is it only background? God might think differently – God would kneel down.

I think God might be a little prejudiced.
For once He asked me to join Him on a walk
through this world,
and we gazed into every heart on this earth,
and I noticed He lingered a bit longer
before any face that was
weeping,
and before any eyes that were
laughing.
And sometimes when we passed
a soul in worship
God too would kneel down.
I have come to learn: God
adores His
creation.
– St. Francis of Assisi, Love Poems From God, translated by Daniel Ladinsky
Beautiful!
Thanks! I just went to your page, and enjoy your creative perspective.
Thank you, this is a wonderful way of expressing yourself!
🙂
beautiful contrast of color–and it is this creation, when I can stop long enough to truly see it and take it in, that is the blessing and that is such a visual hug from my Heavenly Father–the Creator. Thank you for sharing—julie
I’m so glad that it spoke to you! Thank you for coming by and commenting. Pat
The photo compelled me to open this post before I saw you were it’s author. The different layers of colour and focus give it a real 3D effect and a real sence of being there, feeling the warmth and smells of the day. And that poem – who else could walk with God in this way – beautiful!!!
Thank you so much, Keith. You are most kind! Have a blest day. Pat
This is awesome Keith. Love the verse too.
Huggles
Hi. I hope Keith sees this. I’m not sure how it works when someone reblogs. Anyway, I’m glad you enjoyed it, Shayna. Please come back to OPreach again! Peace, Pat
I put a link to it on my site.
I love St. Francis. May I keep a copy of this poem?
Quite honestly, I didn’t get permission to us it here, though I did cite it. I think it’s important to give the source when you use it. 🙂
Do you have the source? Is it written on your blog?
Yes, the book where it is found is listed on the post.
Thank, Mr. Preach.
