The Karma of Gratitude

A thankful person is thankful under all circumstances. A complaining soul complains even in paradise.

How will I recognize paradise if I am not grateful now?

And who said we don’t get seasons in California! We just keep our snow in the mountains where it belongs. 😉

Reminds me of the unbelieving and complaining dwarfs in The Last Battle by C.S Lewis. They were not able to see the truth they were living in and believed they still were in darkness when everyone around them were in the sunshine. And I agree, being thankful has nothing to do with circumstances, it is all about being allowed by grace into another way of valuing everything.

Now that is one of C.S. Lewis’s books that I haven’t read. I am going to have to correct that! 😉
