Always a surprise to catch a blue heron in flight
The surprises and the unexpected often bring much joy.
They are not anticipated or planned and seem to last in
one’s memory. One can kneel in prayer and not experience
much of anything, but again, while just living one’s day to day
existence, God’s presence is often palpable.
On a non-spiritual level, a vivid recollection is one of being lost in
the Smoky Mts. of Tennessee. A wrong turn brought a landscape
that was beautiful beyond description
