As we face the grand ecological crisis of our time, our most important renewable resource is hope. We simply must put it on with our shoes each morning.

“Don’t stop believing” are words that don’t come easily to the
soul sinking into despair. Stopping to see beauty, be it in a sunrise
or another soul, might indeed be the necessary tonic to inspire
hope in the heart of one for whom hope is slowing fading.
