Let Us Live the Questions

We live on the brink of disaster because we do not know how to let life alone. We do not respect the living and fruitful contradictions and paradoxes of which true life is full.
– Thomas Merton
How could we not but leave this alone?

  1. If any relationship is to endure, it involves letting each
person be who they are and who they were meant to be.
As Oscar Wilde said, “We kill the thing we love” if we
attempt to alter it to meet our own expectations – so too
with the earth. If we regard God’s creation as an entity
to serve our own purposes by in some way altering it,
we destroy its pristine beauty and damage what it was
    meant to be.
