The Bridge of all human desire connects earth to heaven. Jesus is the Bridge Builder and connects earth to heaven and rejoins man and woman to God. His cross is the altar. The ordained priest makes Jesus present. Jesus calls us to be his co-workers. We are little bridge builders. We contribute by offering ourselves. The sacrifice God wants is our whole heart. We stand in the bridge and say: May the Lord accept this sacrifice at your hands for the …………… (Add whatever you desire).
The Eucharistic prayer follows and our prayers, works, joys and sufferings are over the Great Bridge with Jesus.
This is combination of St. Catherine Siena who called Jesus the Bridge and me the little bridge forming this reflection.
