(from a song taught us by Marv Hiles and sung at his Iona retreats in the chapel at Santa Sabina Center, beginning “Its a pity we don’t know what the little flowers know; they can take the cold December, face the wind and snow, leave their glories all behind them, bow their heads and let it go . . and you know they’ll be their shining in the morning . . .” (that is by strong memory from a few decades ago, so might be plus or minus a word or two . ..)
