Nature Reflects God’s Glorious Majesty

Thursday’s Responsorial Psalm is Psalm 145

Generation after generation praises your works
and proclaims your might.
They speak of the splendor of your glorious majesty
and tell of your wondrous works.

There is something ironic about calling such a stunning, beautiful piece of creation, “Devil’s Tower.” I guess it is a reminder that our God is in the process of redeeming the whole of creation. Thanks for the awesome photograph

You’re so right! The name of it did seem a bit jarring in that respect. If I recall the story I heard when I was there, it had an Indian name (place of the bears) that was mis-translated. It is truly stunning. And I can’t help but think of the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which I loved.
