There is something ironic about calling such a stunning, beautiful piece of creation, “Devil’s Tower.” I guess it is a reminder that our God is in the process of redeeming the whole of creation. Thanks for the awesome photograph
You’re so right! The name of it did seem a bit jarring in that respect. If I recall the story I heard when I was there, it had an Indian name (place of the bears) that was mis-translated. It is truly stunning. And I can’t help but think of the movie, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which I loved.
