God is not too hard to believe in.God is too hard not to believe in it.
(in my opinion anyway . . .)
Surely even the wildflower is a witness to God’s presence.
your reference to God’s presence in nature immediately brings St Francis to mind – he said so many profound things about Nature in respect to God as an example for us. I also think that without Jesus I wonder if I could ever believe in God – it seems to me without Him, through a relationship and the Good Word in the NT I could not believe. But who knows!!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, we certainly see life through the lenses of our experience of Jesus. Of course others, with a different frame of reference, also believe in God. I am always amazed at the poetry of Rumi, a 13th century Sufi poet. He often expresses an awe and wonder of God’s presence that I could easily envy.
By the way, St. Francis’s feast is this week. Thursday. I will think of you! Have a great week!
A flower indeed bears witness. In its beauty to Love.In its seeds to Hope. All around us are the sermons of the flowers.
Amen! Thank you for stopping by, Sherrie.
