The Spiritual Journey

And the world cannot be discovered by a journey of miles,
no matter how long,
but only by a spiritual journey,
a journey of one inch,
very arduous and humbling and joyful,
by which we arrive at the ground at our feet,
and learn to be at home.

  1. It may take years to complete the journey – a journey on which one embarks without a car or plane or ship. It is the journey on which the sojourner sets the directions and at its end, the final destination is the place at which one finds the peace that ends the restlessness and the need to seek all the wrong roads.

  2. This is very insightful. Thanks for sharing your reflection. Peace, Brigid
