Oneness with the Universe

A universe to be at one with

A universe to be at one with

The first peace, which is the most important, is that which comes within the souls of people when they realize their relationship, their oneness with the universe and all its powers, and when they realize at the center of the universe dwells the Great Spirit, and that its center is really everywhere, it is within each of us.

We Pray for Peace

Today on United Nations Day we pray for peace.

O Loving Creator,we remember that war and violence continue tomaim, kill and destroy. Hundreds of thousands of human beings look at their sisters and brothers over the barrels of guns, cannons and missiles.Help us to hear your voice that counsels forgiveness, compassion, patience and dialogue. Help us to “thirstafter ever greater justice,” so that we might contributeto a peaceful world. Help us to act on behalf of peace, not only today, but all of the days of our life.

The Dominican Sisters of Peace shared with us the following prayer for the International Day of Peace

Gentle Spirit,
Breathe in us the wind
of truth, wisdom and righteousness.
May your Presence inspire us
to create labyrinths of peace.
Compassionate One,
Make our hearts burn with love,
honoring all peoples and creation.
Bless all nations, every family and community
while we seek to work for justice and unity.
Prince of Peace,
Lead us to ways of healing and reconciliation
we pray with those who suffer and struggle.
Bless us with your reconciling love that knows no boundaries
as we seek to live in community, justice and peace.
So be it.
